She married an Australian man and now lives in rural Kendenup, Western Australia. The mother of four and grandmother of two boys, she works part-time as an aged care worker delivering home and community care to the elderly. She says, The poems knock on my door. As a polite host, I invite them in, each and every time. There is a divine feeling of fulfillment when I have communicated what I see, feel and sense into a written text, yet it may still only be a skeleton. After the idea has been written down, I may visit it many times before the poem is finalized. Two of my sisters died of cancer only six months apart. This book is dedicated to them, and the poems in the first part are directly related to that experience. In the second and the third parts, I entwine memories and happenings from different countries and continents, along with writings that are timeless. They are spiritual in nature and have neither cultural nor geographical boundaries. This book will leave a lasting imprint on readers. Author Stefania G. Gisladottir finds the urge to write stems from a deep need to communicate something of value to others. When I write, I do not wonder about who I am writing for, but immerse myself in my interpretation to what I feel and see, and to put it into an artistic form.
